Les Murs Parlent Encore—French for "The Walls Still Speak"—listens to what lingers beneath the silence of erasure. Inspired by the layers of graffiti, grime, and forgotten inscriptions along the corridors of the Paris Métro, this work is a meditation on the persistence of mark-making as memory—accidental, anonymous, and unresolved.

Every surface in the metro system tells a fractured story: names lost to time, phrases half-scrubbed, gestures buried under fresh coats of paint. Yet even when silenced, the walls retain their language. This painting reimagines those visual ghosts—not to recreate them, but to channel their unresolved presence.

Through random strokes, scraped gestures, and layered overlays, Les Murs Parlent Encore suggests that the act of marking space—no matter how fleeting—resists disappearance. It honours the unknown creators, the overlooked signs, and the spaces where meaning has evaporated but presence remains.
