Nearness to Absence is not about death. It is about proximity to it.
The system does not collapse. It alters. What once moved without awareness becomes conscious of fragility.
The heart exists outside the figure. Not lost, but separated. What should remain internal no longer fully returns to itself.
A structure remains within the surface. A threshold. A passage. Not an exit, but recognition. The awareness that continuation and disappearance exist closer together than previously understood.
The surface holds between silence and pressure. Space expands. Weight settles. Neither resolves the other.
Movement becomes restrained. Not removed, but changed. What continues does so differently.
This work does not separate survival from isolation. It holds both in place.
What remains is not restored. It continues.
