Overview
This work began not with intention but with what was left behind.
Echoes in Mud is a meditation on continuity—on the life within remnants and the narratives that emerge when nothing is forced. Composed from the residual paints of previous works—pink, black, white, and yellow—it is not an afterthought but an act of reclamation. It asks: What if the discarded is not an ending but a transition? What if the residue holds the energy of everything that came before?
Movement is central here—not in gesture or direction, but in how material finds its rhythm when allowed to flow. What results is a kind of intuitive choreography between chance and choice - there is no imposed form, only emergence.
This piece is not a portrait of mud but what mud becomes when it is allowed to live again. In its layers are the history of other paintings and other moments of expression. And yet, it stands entirely on its own—a quiet insistence that even what is left behind can carry life forward.
